Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

Description
"Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game is a player-influenced LCG® that sees two players take on the role of one of the seven Great Clans of Rokugan, vying for military and political control of the land while maintaining Rokugan society’s strict code of honor.

Each player commands their forces with two separate decks: A Dynasty Deck fills their provinces with characters and holdings and a Conflict Deck consisting of tactics, maneuvers, followers and attachments that can be used to turn the tide in a struggle for supremacy. During a game, players will engage in conflicts, both political and military based, with the goal of breaking their opponent’s stronghold and winning the game. But the rules of society are absolute, and even in the fire of battle and heat of Rokugan’s courts, clans must remember the tenets of Bushidō, lest they lose everything in their single-minded pursuit of glory."

This is the mod I've been working on for several months and posting in the L5R Discord as cards have been revealed. It includes snapping and basic scripting for common gameplay actions.

Features:
-Cards can be found in the colored bags to the left of the table, sorted by type and then by clan.

-Honored and Dishonored status are represented by white and black Go stones, respectively

-Dials are done in states, either mouse-over and press 1-5 or right click and hit "Set State" to change.

-Counting bowls for easy tracking of Fate and Honor totals

-Number trackers to keep track of skill totals in Conflicts and Duels

-Ability to build decks manually or using a script that reads from the notebook.

-All Core Set cards

-All cards from the Imperial Cycle

Credits that are not my own:
-Fantasy Flight Games for doing an amazing job with designing the game
-Card and token images from Fantasy Flight Games, some modified for use in the mod
-High resolution scans by Da5id
-Scripted Deckbuilder by Poposhka
-3D Room by Chry
-Counting Bowls modified from originals by MrStump
-Images for Imperial Favor and Honored/Dishonored reminder cards done by John Gobeil

Won't the new cards be uploaded? My group and I don't like jigoku because it's too automated, it loses its charm to play a card game that way. TTS is closer to the real life experience and tactile nature of manipulating cards and tokens =(

That's fine, CaskStrength. Fully within the spirit of the Workshop.

I have taken this mod, specifically the setting, (table, walls and the such,) and modified it for personal uses for the L5R RPG. I am considering publishing it onto the workshop. Would you be okay with this? I will be sure to cite your work.

Go right ahead, Wakisashi. The mod isn't going to be updated any further than now by me, anyways. Most of the community has switched over to the web based platform for playing the game at jigoku.online but I think that would be a great resource to have for people looking into the game.

Would mind if I posted a workshop mod based on this? It's for starting the game with recommended decks (from learning rules PDF) pre-setup in game for Lion and Crane duel. I think it would be a valuable resource for folks wanting to learn the game--as I am--and deck building to core set rules takes a long time and a lot of research. I will of course reference your work.

How did you design the board game map? Everything is perfectly placed... how is that even possible?

Ah yes, the deckbuilder in the mod is not up to date to my knowledge. I am not the original creator of it and have included it with the original creator's consent but should probably remove it for the time being.

@DecimalPoint Not sure which deckbuilder you use but today I updated mine [infamous-irc.com] for DotV. Works with a plain text decklist or fiveringsdb.

So it is. I just can't get the deckbuilder to play nice with those cards...

Disciples of the Void is already in the mod. Make sure you have the latest version
